In the course of the transformation process, we decided to use a dialog picture in order to communicate the different aspects and areas to our employees in an understandable and easy-to-remember way. For this purpose, each employee also received his or her own picture after the company meeting.

INDIVIDUAL SCENES AND THEIR MEANING

As part of HELM's Fit for Future program, old inefficient or less target-oriented relics were abolished. These included, for example, the old merchandise management system, which was replaced by an SAP solution, and also the tie requirement.

HELM stands for partnerships. That is why it was important to symbolize that customers and business partners are taken along on the journey to a more modern HELM.

To adapt structures and better enable efficiencies, good leadership is of enormous importance. The captain hands over the helm to a crew member. This crew member knows where the destination is through prior arrangements and feels safe enough to steer the ship independently due to the proximity of the captain.

Only together as a team can the water be let into the dock and thus the boat set sail into the sea. Thus, the employees at HELM, in consultation with each other, determine when the individual business areas are fully optimized to start their journey towards improved customer orientation.
